J. Michael Lavin, Esq. is an Associate Attorney at Delguardian Law, PLLC, where his practice focuses on civil litigation, real estate matters, and plaintiff-side foreclosure actions on behalf of banks and corporate clients. He brings a diverse legal background that blends courtroom advocacy, transactional insight, and disciplined legal analysis.

Prior to joining the firm, Michael practiced at Ellison & Lazenby and other Florida firms, where he handled a broad range of civil litigation and real estate matters. His experience includes managing contested disputes, drafting and analyzing complex pleadings, and guiding matters through all phases of litigation with precision and efficiency.

Michael also served as an Assistant Public Defender in Florida’s Sixth Judicial Circuit, gaining substantial courtroom experience and sharpening his advocacy skills and trial experience. This foundation has strengthened his ability to think strategically, communicate clearly, and represent clients effectively in adversarial settings.

Michael earned his Juris Doctor from Barry University’s Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from The University of Texas at San Antonio. During law school, he volunteered with Bay Area Legal Services, reflecting his commitment to professionalism and service.
